The morphine is worth a lot of money to the wrong kind of people, and if those tens of thousands of ampoules are still intact on the bottom of the sea, there is a fortune definitely worth killing for.

The ampoule is full of morphine and is from the wreck of an allied supply ship during World War 2, but it doesn’t jive with the Pieces of Eight and other trinkets they found. In this movie, he plays a similar character, rough and ready, distrustful of institutions, but generally a good guy.
